It was rather hectic after the Night Encounter so as the smoke clears here is a brief what happened in Luagg...
How it started.
The day had been really cold the sun has really struggled to climb into the sky.
The fires around town had very little warmth. The sunset was blood red and bathed the whole town in a blood red eerie glow.
After the sun had set but there was a strange luminous violet glow, almost like fire, coming from the tall pointed section of the Temple of Pluton.
There was even a very faint glow on the grass around the faculty.
Accompanying the glow is a distinct hissing of buzzing sound.
The glow has remained after night fall.
For you own reasons you all entered the Battle of Luagg.
The Barkeep Ralin was not about so Tippy the bar maid was in charge.
The last person to enter was Dr. Del after a stressful day he had left is last patient convalescing on his treatment table while he popped into the pug to get some hop rich beer to induce a movement in his patient. After a while he noticed that the lights were on at his place and he was sure that he had turned them off.
People when to investigate.
It was at this time that a Huge furred beast beast was seen lurking in the shadows.
It appears that this beast was actually scouting out the area for an assault by humans sized rats on the Pluton Temple.
Upon investigation something had entered Del's and had 'opened up' Del's patient butt before it could get what it wanted it was disturbed.
The PC's were bale to recover part of a artifact that they took back to the Pub. In doings they weekend the protection of the city and allowed the Shadow form of the Angel of death to manifest and cause havoc.
Returning to the tavern they were given some documentation which detailed a conversation between Sir Taupin and Ralin. It turns out that they were good friends who had adventured together. The documents said that in the recent attack on Sir Tapin's house was by skaven and that they had taken the 'project' that Sir Taupin and in doing so they had broken it into 5 pieces. They skaven had taken four of the bits (in their haste forgetting the fifth) and had hidden them around Luagg.
The first was in side a local farmer
The second was at the Grave yard
The Third was at an old Waterside house that was being frequented by Fishmen.
The last was in the message tree within the fringe
While this was going on a dwagar messenger turned up at the ToS and advised them that a massive Oceghyl attack was being planned to coincide with the Angels uprising.
The ToS immediately informed the crown who were quick to dispatch the Cadre and the ToS sent some of their own men in support.
While the PC's were on thier way to the Grave yard there was an assault by Skaven on the Pluton temple -
When at the graveyard the PC's located the third piece and at the same time allowed the Angle more power to effect the city.
On their way back they witnessed the spectacular response by the Cadre and ToS in burning up nearly 500 black oceghyll.
When they returned to the Pub the Pc's decided to go and find Ralin. They found him babbling and wandering insane. Ralin never made it back to the tavern his body was found the next day in the river....
They returned to the tavern again and then set out to the message tree.
While they were at the message tree something attacked the the Battle of Luagg tavern brutally killing Tippy.
It looked like whatever had attacked had been warded inside using skaven warpstone magic.
While the PC's were pondering the Angel burst from the cellars in full shadow form.
After competing the cross Taupin's spell came into effect empowering Del. Del who was 'broken' passed the power generated to a brave little Goblin who chased down and set the Angel back into its dark grave.
Aftermath
Ralin is dead and the Taverns ownership is now in contention. Currently a Half ogre is residing there.
Randal and Dax who were missing from the nights escapades have been seen on the dock fronts helping with the clean up.
There is a influx of cheep weapons. If you want second have 'normal' weapon they will cost you half book price.
The glow on the Puton temple turned out to be a natural phenomena
St. Erasmus' fire (also St. Erasmus' light) is an electrical weather phenomenon in which luminous plasma is created by thunderstorms. St. Erasmus' fire is named after St. Erasmus, the high priest of Daunum; the god of sailors. The phenomenon sometimes appears on ships at sea during thunderstorms and is regarded by sailors with religious awe for its glowing ball of light, accounting for the name.
