Towers of Sorcery -
The following spells are only available to Guild members of the Towers of Sorcery
ToS Scry Mark
VOCALS “By the powers of the magic winds I mark this/that (person/object).”
DESCRIPTION The mage can mark a person or object by touching it and reciting the above. The mark can be removed with a dispel magic verses the casting mages level. NB: this is the mages level at the time he places the mark. Bolstering will increase the casters effective level. Marking is permanent until removed.
If a detect magic is cast the mark will show as “active” magic on the person.
NB: This mark can be scryed by any person casting the ToS Scry spell, and NOT the spell to scry a mages own Marks.
Locate all Marks
VOCALS “Magic Winds I summon thee to serve my will. I command thee scour the world for the Winds influence to locate all such marks.”
DESCRIPTION With this spell the caster can flick through all marks. Can not be used to actually scry any of them, but will show mage all areas that he has marked.
Earth Bridge
VOCALS “Gnomes appear and spread thyselves across this {specify place}”
DESCRIPTION Will create a 20' by 2' stonebridge, which will last for 1 minute. Duration will add an additional 1 min per use. Extension will add an additional 2' per use. Caster cannot dispel except by using a 'Dispel Magic' spell.
MECHANICS Gnomes link themselves together forming a bridge
Turn Metal (Reflect blow)
VOCALS ‘Gnomes of earth bend metal from mine person and protect me from your cousins aggresion’
DESCRIPTION This spell will turn any blow from a metal weapon using the earths magnetics.
MECHANICS This spell acts as a ‘DODGE’ vs the first metal weapon that hits.
Bolster = +1 ‘dodge/turn’ per bolster (as turn wood)
Shadow Key
VOCALS ‘Shadows take the form of the real, take the shape of the real, fill this lock and turn the parts. Open this lock for me shades I command it’
DESCRIPTION This spell creates a key of shadows in the targeted (non-
Bolster = +1 CR per bolster
Shadow form
VOCALS ‘ Darkness by mine will I become one with thee’
DESCRIPTION This causes the caster to become a shadow and therefore into an ethereal state.
Whilst in this form the caster becomes immune to non magical damage, camouflages with darkness, takes + 3 steps of damage from light based effects, is immune to Darkness (magical and non magical) and can see perfectly in darkness.
The caster is also in an ethereal state so although they cannot walk through walls(as they have not shifted into the ethereal plane) they can slip through the tiniest gaps (cracks in walls, under doors, through key holes etc).
Bolster
+1. allows the shadow to fade so will be invisible in daylight as well (not directed magical light) OR may appear to look like a ‘blob of darkness’ (shade)
+2. Becomes invisible to undead and daemonic life sense
+4. Ignore the additional damage from light based effects
