UDRABAX – Lord of the Haulvlings
Status: Younger God
Level: 5500
Avatar: Aarint
The God of the Haulvings is a malicious deity whose hatred of the other Gods is without bounds.
He is depicted as a hideously terrible monster with an enormous head and bulging eyes. Udrabax has no legs and only stumps as arms. It is from this horrible mutilation that his hatred of the other Gods stems.
According to Haulvling legend, Udrabax was a weak deity, the youngest of all the young Gods, who spent most of his time wandering the world discovering all its secrets. It was at this time of his wanderings that all the great Gods decided on the greatest hunt ever, for the greatest of prey, and so it was decided that Udrabax was to be the quarry.
And so the Gods hunted Udrabax for their amusement in a hunt that lasted 20 days and nights, ending in Udrabax's capture and mutilation. It is said that Udrabax would have been slain if it were not for the Ro’Azarkh's son (Pharastus') intervention.
Rescuing Udrabax's hacked up body Ro’Azarkh 's son commissioned Ishtra (the goddess of healing) to create a new body to cover the bones. Her agreement was conditional however, she told Ro’Azarkh 's son that no one was to look upon the work until it was finished. For two years Ishtra toiled over Udrabax's body, but Ro’Azarkh 's son grew curious and eventually his curiosity got the better of him and he was driven by an insane wanting-
Ishtra was furious and refused to continue her work upon Udrabax and cast him out of Bifrost (home of the Gods) with Ro's son. The result of her unfinished work was a monstrous half-
Because of Udrabax's awful background he trusts not the other Gods and hates venomously the Gods responsible for his mutation and hates Ro's son, Pharastus, for his lack of patience.
This unique out look makes his priests unique in turn. His followers are what could be described as anti-
SYMBOL
Udrabax's symbol is a stylised version of himself.
WORSHIP
Udrabax's vengeance towards the general clergy of other religions is the bases of their worship, although not a cult that openly resorts to violence to further their gains they never the less plot against the offending Religions.
General worship is a series of preaching’s which enforce the Guilds standing. On the last day of the year effigies of the Gods are burnt in offering to Udrabax.
TEMPLES
Udrabax’s temples are built in hidden, difficult to reach places, where the priests can learn about the Gods in order to bring down their religions.
HOLY DAYS
There are several unset holy days, where the High Priests of each temple will call together their clerics to chant their defilements against the other Gods to Udrabax.
The main event in the Udrabax calendar happens on the last day of the year, when all the cult gather together to burn effigies of the Gods.
