BUSINESS RULES - Overview

Every character has their own reasons for adventuring, for some it is the excitement and release from tedium, for others it is the thought that they are doing right and the kudos that go with it, however the main reason is for riches and fortune.

Each character is automatically able to make money outside adventuring relying on their skills, living with friends, family etc. no dice roll is required and any money they make or loose is reflected in their standard of living. This money is their non-disposable income, meaning that they do not have any money left after paying for lodging food, normal clothes etc.

The non-disposable income determines a character’s standard of living. The player decides upon their standard of living them self and the only rule here is general common sense, for example a rat catcher would not be living in the King’s Suite at the top hostelry in Baeggwyn.

Any money made on an adventure is over and above the character’s standard of living and is disposable income; meaning the character does not have to spend it on food or lodging but can spend it on ‘goodies’.

This is fine but if a character wishes to up their non-disposable income and have cash to spend on in-character items they either have to improve how they look after their money or start up a business.

This is done by learning the book keeping skill
